Surface treatment

We offer five high-quality paint systems in various colors to protect drives against corrosion and external influences.

Our corrosion protection system is designed in accordance with the corrosivity categories of DIN EN ISO 12944-2.

Geared motors, size 49 and above, are painted in RAL 7016 (anthracite gray) to corrosivity category C1 as standard. This ensures that they are protected against corrosion for installation indoors.

Geared motors, sizes 09 and 39 with an aluminum housing are supplied unpainted as standard.

All of the unpainted parts of the products are treated with corrosion protection agents for 6 months.

 

Note:

Corrosivity Category C1 is not suitable for ambient temperatures below -20 °C

Surface pretreatment

For especially demanding applications, the drives can be additionally pretreated in order to achieve a uniform paint coat thickness, also at hidden and at difficult to access locations.
